Thankfully my wife comes along to most gigs as long as our son can get in, so that means several CRS gigs and the occasional gig at the point (yes it is easier to get to a gig in Cardiff from Fife than Rotherham).
Summer's End though is a problem since Monday is a school day, so I get to go with a friend instead. |

Me and The Gig Buddy (also my brother-in-law, our wives are sisters) just blame each other.
"Honestly, Wife, I'm not that bothered, it's him who wants to go"
Truthfully I think we've been rumbled and The Wives just put up with it.
Mind, both are prog fans in their own way. My Wife even had her own copy of Lamb Lies Down On Broadway when I first met her. But she's not keen on Frost* though. Too widdly-diddly for her tastes. _________________ It's not the winning or even taking part, it's the arsing about that counts. |

Ah, well. Try her with EIMA then.
My wife - who dislikes prog largely for widdly-widdly reasons - actually stated that she likes the tour CD.
She said it's "Frost* without the widdly-widdlies". _________________ I've always rather fancied a marsupial. |

She might go for that. She likes Jadis, Kino, Touchstone, Spock's Beard & Porcupine Tree, without knowing it. I put it on in the car and after about 10 miles she goes:
"What's this??"
And I go: "Why? Do you like it?"
And she goes: "It's one of your lot isn't it???"
And I go: "Result"
And she goes: " " _________________ It's not the winning or even taking part, it's the arsing about that counts. |

It looks like the closest I'm going to get to Lydney Town Hall that weekend will be about 20,000 feet vertically upwards as I climb away for another kind of "gig" across the pond. I can't believe it!
As it's only 90% certain at present I won't yet offer my Sunday ticket, but closer to the day if anyone is looking to go and can't get one, give me a shout.

Sorry to hear that Mr Brom. Let's hope for that 10% uncertainly and some 'cost cuts' before September |

Is there anyone who has a spare bed? I can't find any accomodation near the hall! I'm going mad! _________________

| Have you tried www.visitforestofdean.co.uk - last time I looked there was still quite a bit of accomodation around. There's very little within walking distance of the venue, anyway. |
