Satch was the only one that mastered the idiosyncracies of the Royal Albert Hall (i.e. no need for reverb dude). Vai's set was a sonic mess from start to finish - Vai, Macalpine and Sheehan battling for mid-range supremacy - it was as equally embarassing as Fripp's set but for very different reasons - I actually left my row 4 brilliant seats to go for a slash - when I got to the bog, the sound was far better (clearly after I'd done my business) so I went to the bar to watch the rest of set on a crappy black and white monitor whilst supping a chilled one - Vit P and Mooger came in after Vai's set and gave me grief but I swear it sounded 10x better in the bar / bog. When I resumed seats, Satriani came on and gave a masterlass - he completely nailed that venue and that is why he is Obi Wan. _________________ www.myspace.com/neptunessofauk |

Agreed Vai didn't get the sound right that night but he was sick as a dog that night he went to see a throat specialist before the gig and I don't think he sound checked much.
He knew he hadn't done a great gig, he told me so through a very rough sounding voice backstage. _________________ *** NEW STUDIO PHOTOS |

So why did he state during the gig this was the highlight of his career playing such a beautiful venue?
I just wish people would be more honest - if he was a sick as a dog he should have just said so because the audience would have respected and warmed to him instead of thinking otherwise? _________________ www.myspace.com/neptunessofauk |

Not too crazy about the video applications but the motion sensor stuff is quite cool! _________________ eponymous
