That was mindblowing, I don't know how many times better than the original that was. No offense to ELO, they're cool and all, but dude, this version was great!

This is superb - played it to death over the last few days.

Is it just me or can you imagine this on XFM or Virgin being played between Kaiser Chiefs and the Killers - it has 'hit' written all over it!

A good track ruined.
Before anyone goes of on one.
I used to listen to ELO when I did my paper round.
Here is the news is a good track, well performed live last year by ELO Part 2.

However...............
It pales into insignificance compared to this version.
I hate awesome, vastly over used word, but this is excellent

PS
I know its off topic, but..
Why can I sometimes start a new thread and other times not be allowed to start a new thread? i.e. now, I cannot post a new topic but yesterday I could, if I'd time, which I hadn't, but should have, because I could have.
Confused

The trouble with my version is the bloody great big uncleared sample off the original at the start!. If I did release it then Mr Lynne could quite rightly demand anything up to 100% of any money I made out of it.

So assuming I was picking up the manufacturing costs via Inside Out (who would only be able to manage a limited release I should imagine), all I'd do would be lose money from start to finish. And it wouldn't get anywhere near the the top of the charts. Believe me, I know. Wink

And besides, releasing it free is a much better was of getting it distributed than trying to get people to pay for it! Wink

That way, Frost gets the exposure (relatively speaking), Mr Lynne can't sue me for using an un-cleared sample because I'm not making any money from it and I don't have to spend anything in the first place other than a few sweaty hours in yonder Cube! Hurrah! Very Happy

Is there any chance Mr Lynne might say; "on you go, Mr Godfrey, use my sample with my blessing because my ELO back catalogue will get a little churn out of it"?

No-one expected Mike Oldfield to give permission for Magenta's Rob Reed to use the Tubular Bells intro sample on his Chimpan-A CD, but he did.

I'm not questioning your knowledge of your own onions(!), so to speak, but would asking him make it messier than just using it safe in the knowledge that you can't be touched?

Would iTunes consider it for their free download slot - to coincide with the new CD release?
